The below Specification Guideline provides you with information for you to know when specifying Quartz Carpet & Terradec on your project. Please note that Quartz Carpet & Terradec are products that can only be purchased through us by trained applicators. As both finishes are hand-trowelled, all installers have a slightly different hand when it comes to installation and range of experience. Workmanship warranty is given by your installer. Whilst Installers are required to meet guidelines and standards, Seamless Overlays are not responsible for the workmanship provided by Installers. Click here to find installers near you.

Specification Guidelines for Quartz Carpet & Terradec Finishes
Product: Quartz Carpet
Stone: 2-3mm
Finish: Open Pore
CHARACTERISTICS / APPLICATION:
Quartz stones are mixed with an epoxy and hand trowelled over an existing substrate at 5-7mm thick for foot traffic areas and 8-10mm thick for vehicle traffic. Some trowel marks may be visible in finished floor.
APPEARANCE:
Water permeable
Textured finish
Looks like carpet
Natural sheen of stones is enhanced by gloss sealer
Matt top coat can be requested to provide a more matt finish
Please note: under feature lights and natural light trowel marks become more evident. This is a natural characteristic of the finish.

External floors
Internal floors (excluding shower bases)
Internal walls (excluding shower walls)

Joinery (faces only)
Open Pore finish not suitable for splashbacks, showers or internal wet areas such as kitchens & bathrooms as it is a non-moppable surface. Due to the textured finish, it may not be suitable for all joinery pieces.

CHARACTERISTICS / APPLICATION:
Quartz stones are mixed with an epoxy and hand trowelled over an existing substrate at 5-7mm thick and 10-15mm thick for vehicle traffic. Some trowel marks may be visible in finished floor. A clear liquid called Pore Fill is applied over the stones to fill in the spaces between the stones. In addition to the Pore Fill, a coat of epoxy Gloss or Matt Sealer is applied over the Pore Fill.
APPEARANCE:
Textured finish
Pore Filled is gloss in appearance
Pore Filled Matt is matt in appearance
Please note: under feature lights and natural light trowel marks become more evident. This is a natural characteristic of the finish.

Stone: 2-4mm or 4-6mm

CHARACTERISTICS / APPLICATION:
Terradec is a seamless outdoor water-permeable floor system. It consists of natural stones that are hand trowelled for a strong, porous floor. The stones are bound using a specifically developed polyurethane binder that is UV-stable and nonyellowing, making it excellent for external areas.
